Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Lead Carpenter who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and clean, efficient jobsite execution. This is a key production seat in our company; ideal for someone who thrives in a well-run system, leads by example, and values quality over shortcuts.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day jobsite operations from demolition through final finish
- Perform hands-on work across demo, framing, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
- Load, unload, and haul materials and debris; maintain a clean, organized site
- Prepare and protect client spaces using appropriate coverings and best practices
- Anticipate project needs; stage tools and materials proactively for each phase
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations for self, helper, and surrounding areas
- Maintain van and inventory; coordinate with your helper to manage weekly stock
- Document daily progress with photos, notes, and receipts via JobTread
- Collaborate with the PM on schedule updates, scope changes, and site logistics
- Identify and support basic estimating or change order adjustments in the field
- Train and mentor junior apprentice/helper; model clean job habits and problem-solving

Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on residential remodeling experience (kitchens, baths, additions)
- Previous experience with installation of tile and flooring
- Skilled in demolition, framing, cabinetry, trim, and finish carpentry
- Demonstrated ability to manage site logistics, cleanliness, and protection
- Experienced in leading and mentoring a helper or junior apprentice
- Experience coordinating with subs (plumbing, electrical, drywall) during rough-in and finish phases
- Basic working knowledge of estimating concepts and change order workflows
- Tech-savvy with text, email, uploading photos, and using apps like JobTread, BuilderTrend
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

- Familiarity with permits, inspections, or code compliance
- Can read and interpret design drawings or blueprints
- Owns basic tool set (company provides major tools)
